We stayed overnight for a family funeral and were pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the room, which had been kindly upgraded. It had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable . The staff were all very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had the wake there and they put on a decent spread with delicious homemade cakes and homemade quiches made by Meg, who organised everything with care . It's the perfect size for an intimate occasion. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the centre of Yeovil , which suited us as it was 5 mins drive to the crematorium. We'd definitely stay here again !

Had several stays here near for relatives. New owners so different. One young woman appears to run it, backed by a chef and housekeeper. All very nice. Rooms decorated very well. Tea/coffee topped up daily. But all left outside door. Very clean. Reception is closed after 9am until 4pm. I found it strange to be asked to dispose of bins in room. Towels provided if requested. Everything in plastic bags.

Couldn't turn one of the bedside table lights as the socket was behind the bed and didn't want to pull the heavy bed across the poorly fitted vinyl. Nowhere to hang the hand towel. The cistern on the toilet dripped all night and the handle to the flush has oxide. Tried ringing on 3 occasions and no one answers the phone. When they did ring me back found the person rude on the phone. Also couldn't do breakfast or any food which they knew about for days before but never contacted me before hand.

Fantastic stay many thanks, bed was fantastic, bedding was so clean, brilliant white. Staff friendly and could not do enough to make my stay enjoyable. As recommended by management breakfast was tip top 10/10.

Stayed in the adjoining air b'n'b arm of the business. Room was good, clean and well presented. It was also good value. The location is a little out of town, but not insurmountable. Pleasant and would return

This is a nice hotel. Currently undergoing sympathetic renovations to the interior and exterior so as not to inconvenience guests. Rooms are a little 'behind the times regarding decor but exceptionally clean with good amenities. For a business that label's itself as a Hotel, I would expect someone on reception 24/7 but sadly this is not the case and you are often left with nowhere to turn if you require any hotel services (such as checking in/out, which can only be carried out at certain times - not added to the website) All in all, we e joyed our stay.

We used this hotel for my wife's mother's wake. Meg who runs the hotel could not have been more helpful for this event. Food that she had prepared for this was excellent. We even a had one guest with special dietary needs which she catered for. Thankyou Preston Hotel for making this sad event go so well.
